The Lions Clubs International District 303 – Hong Kong & Macao financed to help build the “Yunnan Lion Village” for about 180 households affected by the 2008 Sichuan earthquake in the Mainland, and the establishment of the village was completed in 2011. In response to the destruction after the Earthquake, District 303, Shenzhen Lions Clubs, China Guangdong Lions Clubs and Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) jointly donated RMB 8,000,000 to establish ‘Yanjin Lions Village’ in Yanjin, Yunnan. There are houses, hospitals, schools and so on in the village. The 1st International Vice-President Wing-kun Tam, 303 District Governor Cherry F. C. Tam and the government officials of the Yanjin presided over the inauguration ceremony in 2011.
