A.T.S. LIONS CLUBS TECHNICAL WORKSHOPS (1968) & LIONS CLUBS FITNESS CENTRE (2022) (ABERDEEN TECHNICAL SCHOOL)

The Aberdeen Technical School, founded in 1935, provides holistic education to students from grassroot families and students who have special education needs. It also provides lodging to students in need. Back in 1968, District 303 donated $204,449 to the School to build and expand its workshop for over 500 student trainings. On June 21, 1968, District Governor Lion Paul Lau officiated at the opening ceremony of the workshops. In Session 2021-2022 Lionistic year, the School has invited the District Governor or his representative to be advisor (ex-officio) on the school’s lodging in order to establish a long-term service partnership with us.

The District agrees with the School's teaching and learning philosophy, and is pleased to see the School spare no effort in nurturing students with essential life-long learning experiences for wholeperson development. The District has decided to inherit our landmark service mission and donate $350,000 to the School in support of scholarship, academic and personal development for students. In recognition of Lions Clubs’ generosity and kindness, the School has named its newly renovated fitness centre as the “Lions Clubs Fitness Centre.”
